Service on Energy Savings and Renovation (SAER)

An advisory and support service for citizens to raise awareness on how to improve housing buildings through good practise and building renovation. This service offers counselling to any citizen about the measures to be taken to improve energy performance, about the Energy Performance Certificate, subsidies to building renovation. Activities and workshops are also organised by SAER and information desks are set at Municipal Markets to offer direct information to citizens.

“You Control Your Energy” Campaign

A public communication campaign to promote energy savings and raise awareness of the lines of action and grants available for energy saving actions in different sectors.

Antonio Resines (currently President of the Spanish Film Academy) is the visible face of the campaign, providing a fresh and dynamic approach.
The campaign consists of three central pillars with one shared objective: Energy Saving and Efficiency. The messages have been developed around three central pillars:

  • Energy-efficient renovation of existing households.
  • Efficient driving.
  • Energy labels and energy performance certification of buildings.

The campaign appeared throughout July in the main national media channels, with slots on TV, radio, cinema and online, as well as with items in the printed press and other media.
